I am a plug-in hybrid vehicle driver. And you know what ? I had the crazy idea to actually charge it on a public charger. Yes, on the charge.brussels network.
Sounds like an obvious thing right ?
Well here is what you can read on the charge.brussels web site:
"HOW DO I CHARGE MY CAR?
CHARGING USING AN MSP BADGE (RFID)Your Mobility Service Provider (MSP) provides you with an RFID card that you use to start a charging session."
If you do not have an RFID badge, you can charge with an App, but the price is higher.
Well now the question comes: what is Mobility Service Provider ? Is there a list of them ?
You need to be as stubborn as I am to actually find them and ultimately get the holy grail: an RFID badge for charging my car.
So my proposition is simple: make an app that lets you access any Mobility Service would it be public transports, shared scooters, bikes, charging stations, parking terminals independently of its operator, i.e. not only charge.brussels, without having to understand what a Mobility Service Provider is. Yes, any of them.
There are existing services for all of them so the bulk of the work is to aggregate them, nicely, without reinventing the wheel. So part of the job are partnerships, the other one to develop the App.
And yes, put yourself in the feet of Swedish or Chinese guy that comes to Brussels for the first time, and make it as simple as possible.
