Make downtown car free zone

From "Brussels hacks the crisis"

Go to the project

Stopping car traffic in downtown, not only will reduce carbon footprint, but will help small shops, bars and restaurants in the difficult times. With Anspach Boulevard being closed, the new reasonable step is to close the streets around and let people enjoy the city freely, honing space for terraces and plants.

Yeah, once a year, there's the day without car around September during which bikes, rollers and pedestrian enjoy our great city. So, as a transition, we could also do more than one "day without car/wagenlose day/journée sans voiture) per year. Especially during this summer, after the pandemic, (poorer) people could enjoy a nice stay in Brussels.
